L³ Standard

The L³ standard sets the benchmark as a time-stable, ambient-temperature-independent, and highly reliable reference for luminance, luminous flux, luminous intensity, and color.

Its stability and independence from ambient temperature are achieved through temperature control using a Peltier device, combined with intensity regulation via a spectrally matched photodiode. Only pre-aged and carefully selected high-power LEDs are used, operated at approximately two-thirds of their rated current. The light-emitting area of the L³ standard features a diffuser that ensures excellent homogeneous luminance.

The lightweight, compact design, together with adjustable light output using screw-on neutral density filters, allows the L³ standard to be used in a wide range of applications, including display calibration, LED manufacturing, and laboratory testing. TechnoTeam in-house calibration ensures traceable and highly accurate reference values.
